Any Tips For A New Player?[]

Welcome! 😎

1-Look at the developers' guides for answers to all the early questions (Learn the basics)

2-Boost your 556 mg, when you get a rarer colour of any type of mg/ac, switch to boosting that

3-Equip all your ground troops with shotguns (i-37 initially) Common i-37 is better than legendary MP5, G36

4-Keep a gunship sniper ( SNPR-20) ready for the day you start to meet titans

5-Never scrap a weapon with 3 stars or more; Save them for fusing

6-Don't 'repair' any blockers near your HQ - unrepaired they are indestructible. In particular, never repair the bus and 2x hazardous waste that form a barrier to the right of the headquarters.

7-Make sure you are logged into game centre (iOS) / google play (Android); this makes it easy to recover your setup if there is a problem.

8-Take your time, enjoy the progression through the game.

How Do You Fuse?[]

☀As you boost a weapon, the maximum level is capped by the number of stars:

⭐️=maximum level 10, ⭐️⭐️=maximum level 20, ⭐️⭐️⭐️=maximum level 30, etc.

When you achieve this maximum level on the upgrade page, select << and you find that the BOOST button has changed to FUSE. Selecting FUSE will show you a list of available weapons that will be consumed to raise the star count:

-Weapons must have same number of stars as the weapon you are boosting

-Weapons can be any colour, any level

-Weapons active on your ac130 or ground team cannot be used until removed

-Weapons used will be removed from your inventory and lost

The star count of your weapon will determine how many others are required to fuse:

⭐️ needs 1 more ⭐️ weapon to promote it to ⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️ needs 2 more ⭐️⭐️ weapons promote it to ⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️ needs 3 more ⭐️⭐️⭐️ weapons to promote it to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

etc

Select the weapons you want to use and then press the FUSE button (which shows the metal cost ).

It is best to use level 1 weapons where available; otherwise the cheapest option is to build 'fuse fodder' by boosting and fusing grey weapons specifically for using towards fusing other weapons. Try and make fuse fodder to coincide with the boosting event on Thursday’s

Why Do My Troops Exit The Building Before They Finish Looting?[]

You are using too much time: When the mission timer at top centre reaches zero, your troops will exit a building and/or call for evacuation.

Choose scout (shotgun) troops- SM-16 (Rank 20)is the fastest ATM they loot buildings faster - and upgrade them to increase looting speed. Loot Bonus

Take care where you start- try to pick as short a route as possible

Guide your troops by destroying obstacles before they reach them

Do not let your troops stop to shoot at zombies - kill the zombies with your gunship before they get close

You should ignore POWER: Even the developers admit is a broken stat; bugged, inconsistent and often wrong. Use damage and the other parameters for weapon comparisons

How Can I Get Bolts 🔩?[]

There is no quick fix to build your bolt supply - you have to work for them:

  • Watch adverts daily
  • Play Defence and Frenzy
  • Open crates
  • Scrap weapons (More bolts with a weekend resource booster)
  • Play as many missions as you can once each day at the highest campaign zone / difficulty that you can manage.
  • You can also just loot one building from any map and get the full bolts & XP, But only the resources from that building

Which Autocannon is Best?[]

Non-PT/H ACs of equal rarity & level:

2A13 > GPD-30 > ND 37 > GSH-30-1 > GSH-23L > G19-A> AC 30> AC 27 > AC 25 > MG 7.62> AC 20 > MG 5.56

For much more detail, see Which AC?.

How Do You Kill Impalers?[]

The secret to surviving impalers is to pick troops with high Troop HP:

Assault are best:
M4A1 (Rank 7) for newer players, AR-15 (Rank 10) when unlocked, and M249 (Rank 10) is best of all.
M60 (Rank 20) & KG121 (Rank 26)

Boost common versions to lv 40, then impaler fire bounces off - giving you time to use a Gunship Weapons

A different option is the M-79 (Rank 10) M32 (Rank 10) G32L (Rank 26) troop, which has the health, range and firepower to fight off impalers - but letting your troops stop and fight will slow them down and make mission completion more difficult.

If using an ac, remember to lead by the width of the sight box.

How Can I Kill The Giant Titans?[]

Best options to kill the Heavy Titan are the gunship snipers AIMO, SNPR-20 & SNPR-25, or the hcan 100/105, or GBU. To be effective they all need to be gold and well upgraded.

Alternatives are C1A Napalm and M777.

As a guide, a gold SNPR-20 level 60 needs 5 / 7 / 8 shots to kill a heavy titan at easy / medium / hard difficulty. Crucible Campaign

Happy hunting! 😎

Which Weapons Are Not Available In Common Crates?[]

Some of the more recently released weapons are not (yet) in common crates, but may be available as rewards from special events and from cash purchase in the shop. Crate Types

What Is The Best Use For Gold?[]

Save you gold for extra runs in weekend Resurgence or Sanctuary Events

The most efficient use is to save your gold until you are rank 30 with level 8 Headquarters and Metal Storage: Because "refill metal" costs 100 gold, it is best value when capacity is maxed at 100,000.

Another use is to 'rush' common armoury crates. This is best done only when there is a "Faster Crate Opening" booster active, where each crate will cost 30 gold. However, drop rates from common crates are so poor that ‘rushing’ is not recommended.

If you are tempted to use gold to buy crates from the shop, remember that the weapon(s) will be random; you are as likely to find a Can-30 as to get a ac30. Crate Types

How Can I Change My Player Name?[]

Sorry to say, you cannot change your in-game name. Your only way is to delete the game and start over again.

What Are The Drop Rates For Each Rarity?[]

UPDATE Dec 2021 : It is claimed that drop rates are restored to the 2020 values shown below or better. This has not been substantiated and FG have not published the rates. (However, FG can change rates at any time, and when legendary weapons were previously removed entirely from common crates this news was not announced by FG.)

The estimated rates for Common Crates are:

Legendary 1/1000 * A note of caution: The rates stated are based on 2020 data. Rates are altered by FG without informing players. FG do not publish the probabilities.
Epic 1 /250
Rare 1 / 60
Uncommon 1 / 12
Common 9 / 10

For more information, see the Drop Rates - In Search of Gold Guns article
